Restoration
Jurenzan Anrakuji
Anraku-ji is the temple in Kyoto which is well known by the pumpkin mass. During the restoration of its front gate, we have discovered the original decorations under the current red, blue, green colours.
Front gate colored in red, blue, green (under). The former decoration of crowds and lutus flowers can be seen from the flaked parts.
Before
The original patterns of clouds and lotus flowers that was painted before the current painting was revealing from cracked surfaces. Due to the restoration, we have restored the work with the original pattern.
Parts of lotus flowers can be seen from flaked part of red colour.
